For him, prosthodontics is all about thinking outside the box to find the best solution for a complex problem – all while changing lives for the better! If you’d like to learn more about him and his journey to our practice, keep reading.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Prosthodontist?
It was actually Dr. Galindo’s dad who inspired him! Since he worked in the medical field, Dr. Galindo’s interest in the medical sciences was piqued at an early age. While shadowing a dentist, he saw first-hand the detail of the work, the knowledge the doctor had, and all of the cool “toys” he got to play with. By the end of the day, Dr. Galindo had fallen in love with the job!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Galindo’s studies began at Francisco Marroquin University. From there, he attended the University of Connecticut before earning his Prosthodontic Certificate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Over a decade later, he continues to prioritize continuing education and advanced training. In fact, he is an active member of professional organizations, like the American Academy of Prosthodontics and the Florida Prosthodontic Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Galindo and his wife, Crista, are proud parents of four kids, who range from ages seven to two. As you can imagine, life outside the office is sometimes hectic, but he makes time for the things he enjoys most, like going on date nights, taking day trips to the beach, and playing golf. Here’s a fun fact about him: he played in a junior world amateur golf tournament representing his country of Guatemala!
